Xavier Institute of Communications honors Alumni

The Public Relations batch of Xavier Institute of Communications (XIC) , Mumbai on Friday last week, hosted Magnum Opus, a one-of-a-kind networking opportunity and entertainment night to honor several alumni for their outstanding contribution to the communication industry. 
Famous professionals like Anil Nair (CEO, Law & Kenneth India) and Rajeev Masand were honored at the event by Noted Bollywood director Imtiyaz ali , who was the guest of honor of the event.
Sponsored by Birla Sun Life, ONGC, Kukikan the programme was styled by Spykar, featuring gift hampers by the Gitanjali group, Eaternal Health & Organic Foods, and band equipment from Furtados the event showcased the best of talents from XIC, which competed each other to bag awards for their best performances. 
The event witnessed face-off performances in dancing and singing, photography and short film competitions. The night was enthralled by the enthuastic performance of the sufi-rock band Wasabi.
Speaking on the occasion, Bollywood Director, Imtiyaz Ali shared his rich experience with the audience and praised the efforts the XIC put in to make it best in India.
"Today it feels like home coming, I thank all for providing such warmth and honor especially from the people at XIC" said Imtiyaz Ali, who later presented the awards to the winners.

Delhi Auto Expo ended at High Note, Red Digital explored social Networking

New Delhi Jan 13: Unrevealing the best of Automotive technologies round the world, The Auto Expo 2012 at New Delhi´s Pragati Maidan ended at high note on Wednesday. The expo received a good response from both the visitors and the sponsors. People in lakhs thrive to this expo to have the first hand experience of the world of technologies. 

"There has been quite a success with this edition of the auto expo," Urban Development Minister Kamal Nath told reporters after his valedictory address. 

The launch of new cars by the top brand companies received immense response at the expo. German luxury carmaker BMW got about 100 initial bookings for its newly launched MINI. The car is expected to hit the market next fiscal. "We had tremendous interest from potential customers and are sold out for the first few months," said the spokesperson for BMW India. 

Visitors were seen also craning their necks at the stalls of Maruti, Hyundai and Tata Motors. Maruti unveiled its MUV Ertiga; Hyundai its new Sonata while Tata Motors-owned JLR showcased two new concepts - CX16 & CX75.

"It's the largest auto show for Asia's second-fastest growing market and the interest in new cars and products is bound to bring hordes of people to the venue and our stall," Maruti Suzuki MD and CEO S Nakanishi said, adding, "The Indian auto expo is rated as one of the top events in Suzuki's global calendar and we would continue to make global launches in future too." 

Although the expo was for cars , but at BMW Exhibit centre visitors had something also to cheer about. The unique experience of directly sharing your pics to facebook wall made visitors to throng it more as compared to the other ones. 




Just a click and a touch directly upload the pictures on your facebook wall and this was possible because of the innovative concept used by the Red Digital for BMW.

Red Digital´s Midas brought the world of social media into the real world of BMW by creating an innovative and real time social sharing experience helping BMW fans to share their offline experience directly with their online friends. 

Visitors at the BMW exhibit hall were provided with BMW Connect Cards, which activates Midas once the visitor login to his facebook account. With a gentle tap either on the iPad stationed at the registration kiosk. Midas empowers visitors to share their BMW experience online, with their friends on Facebook.

The Midas also provided the visitors to like the cars in the hall just by tapping their BMW connect cars with an iPad carried over by the BMW promoter.

"The Use of this services received tremendous response and people are happily using this innovative service to remain connected with their online friends´ said Yashraj Vakil, Chief Operating officer at the Red Digital, a digital ideation and services company who used facebook in an innovative way, Yasraj adds that the company Red digital will be soon exploring this concept for other services like restaurants, events and retail market also.
The expo winded with huge potential and the thorough analysis of the services provided. The Red Digital´s Midas services impressed the people and make them understand how creativity can be harnessed and used to create niche.
